Transfer Factor
8:46 AM on Sep. 28, 2008

A good friend of mine is recommending this new supplement that is out in the market called Transfer factor. It had a lot of testimonies from people who claims that it did cure their disease and it even boosted their immune system. They say transfer factor is composed of a molecule that programs the immune system of the human body to help it get rid of diseases. I’m just having doubts about it because the content of it is cows colostrums which they say is the closest to a human colostrums, how can a cows colostrums program a human immune system? I think cow’s colostrums is good for you if you are a baby cow.

I will never encourage such activities. Because our immune system should have the potential from the diets that we eat. It clearly shows that we do not have proper food habits. Have vegetables. They give you the best immune system.

I totally agree with you guys, I just can’t see the reason why they can’t show any laboratory tests for it and all they can show is testimonies of people who used it. Testimonials are not scientific evidence, they always mention the word “common sense” because a lot of people in the world are using the product so it must be good. But common practice doesn’t have to be common sense. Why don’t they go and smoke 1 pack of cigarette a day because a lot of people are smoking.

I'm sure it was goat milk at first. Anyway, I'm rather skeptical of any unusual treatment, especially if a bunch of people claim that it cures disease and boosts immune systems. If you drank your milk like you were supposed to, you'd already have a good immune system, that's all I know.

But if a friend is saying it works, then it might have a good level of merit to it.

Colostrums still are just milk and we've been drinking cow's milk since the birth of mankind so it's probably safe but for the love of God don't take my word for it. What else they put in this transfer factor product I wouldn't know.
