As far as I know Australia is the only country in the world to eat it's own National Emblem
The emu and the kangaroo
The emu is used for oil, which is a healing product, leather fron the hide, feathers in hats
The emu eggs are also used for decorative carvings as the layers are different colours
The meat becomes sausages, steaks.
The kangaroo is turned into sausages, steaks, mince for hamburgers
Australia has never adopted any official motto or faunal or bird emblem. By popular tradition, however, the kangaroo and emu are widely accepted as national faunal and bird emblems.
