5:31 AM on Mar. 14, 2008

We have custom called White Day men send candy for women in  return of Valentaine's  Day women send chocolate for men.

Today is the White Day of March 14th.

This week, my husband bought me  Macaron of French candy and Chocolate

on the way back to home from work.

I had the Macaron  for the first time. It tastes very good.

Change the subject,..

When I started dressmaking,  was sewing many  doll's dresses back then.

I have some Barbie dolls and upped the pictures on my album.

I don't have a lot like a collector., though.

Will up  the pictueres of Japanese Lika and Jenny Doll next time .

Here is a Barbie first commercial in !959,  Very Classic.

cirereyes, nevaeh, In japan, there were Valentine's day and White day till about 35 years ago. when I was 14 years old,
the chocolate company advertised women send a chocolate to declare love for men in Valentine's day.
it was an improtnat day for the woman of pure one-sided love, Sure, I 've sent it to a boy to declare back then.
And next year, the candy company advertised men send the candy to declare love for women in return
in March 14th, But there were not so many men to buy the candy like women buying in Valentine's day.
Now we have custom of both days, It surely differs from 35 years ago, very interesting.

I´ve never heard of white day either, I won´t tell my partner, he´d be expecting chocolates on the 14th March, good job the date has past! It´s like Mother´s day in England is a different month to Mother´s day in Spain. So now I get 2 Mother´s days, well here´s hoping!

Honestly it's my first time to read about the white day of March 14th. Here in our place women usually receives chocolates on Valentines Day. Looks like it’s the other way around in Japan, it's nice to be in your place for a change.
