Music Label Rant

Just now as I'm listening to Dolores O'Riordan's songs, she's the former Cranberries singer, a thought came to me. If this album was released as a Cranberries album it would have sold a lot more or if she stayed with a big label company instead of going Indie. Sure it's not as catchy as her more popular songs but if she started out with this on her career she still would have done well.

As far as Indie label music has come, big labels still control music sales unfortunately. Most people still eat up what's fed them from ads, promotions, or in this case what big name labels give them.

Hence why I'm one of the few people in the US who actually has good taste in music. A lot of my favorite singers and composers are from Japan (Fiction Junction YUUKA, JAM Project, Yoko Shimomura, ZUN etc), and I hardly see any of those tracks in the US, so I either need to import them or download.

There are a lot of instances where I can say "Love the singer, hate the song.".
